Outstanding Investor Digest

The OID was a publication that ran form the mid 1980s to the early 2000s. It was a collection of interviews with successful value investors that was curated by the enigmatic publisher, Henry Emerson. The subscription plan was unique in that you paid for 10 issues and your subscription lasted as long as it took for 10 issues to be published. Emerson refused to be held to a publication schedule. Instead, he published only when he had enough quality content to fill an issue or if he felt compelled to publish a "special issue". The magazine ceased to exist when he passed away. I was fortunate enough to be able to subscribe once I began working after I graduated from college and have the last few issues of the publication in print copy.
