The C++ Standards Committee (X3J16) is accepting public
comments on the C++ language. The public review period will
close on July 25, 1995. If you have any thoughts regarding
C++, e-mail them to x3sec@itic.nw.dc.us. An original
hardcopy with a signature is required before the comment is
considered formal. You can obtain a copy of the C++ draft
for $65.00 from X3 Secretariat, Attn: Lynn Barra
(x3sec@itic.nw.dc.us), 1250 Eye Street, Suite 200,
Washington, DC 20005, or for $50.00 from ANSI, 11 W. 42nd
St., New York, NY 10036. The draft standard is also
available via anonymous ftp at research.att.com in the
dist/C++/WP directory.
SmallTalk pioneer ParcPlace Systems, which has focused
primarily on the workstation market, has announced a merger
with Digitalk, the leading Smalltalk vendor for PCs. The new
company, ParcPlace-Digitalk, is scheduled to be up and
running before the end of August.
