Object/FX Corporation has released SpatialX Java Developer's Kit v1.4 and SpatialFX v1.1, two Java-based, geospatial visualization products. SpatialX Java Developer's Kit offers performance enhancements to its visual JavaBeans and additional capabilities within its class library of over 500 Java classes.
The new release of SpatialFX Server v1.1 offers a variety of N-Tier deployment options for programs developed with SpatialX. SpatialFX v1.1 also offers support for a range of commercial and governmental data formats. These include raster formats, such as ADRG, CADRG, CIB, and GeoTIFF, and vector formats, such as DXF, VPF, DCW, and ESRI Shapefile.

LEAD Technologies Unveils LEADTOOLS v11
LEAD Technologies has announced LEADTOOLS v11, their latest imaging toolkit. LEADTOOLS v11 maintains full code compatibility with earlier versions of LEADTOOLS. In addition to the expanded feature set, LEADTOOLS v11 supports the DICOM specification including all modalities and both 2-D and 3-D vector imaging support.
A key feature in LEADTOOLS v11 is support for JBIG, an industry-standard lossless file format that offers improved compression algorithms for bi-tonal, grayscale, and color images. Another added feature is a thumbnail browser that allows the user to browse directories/subdirectories and create thumbnails. Image list control has also been added for viewing and manipulating lists of images.

SKY Computers Debuts SKY MPI-RT
SKY Computers has released SKY MPI-RT, an MPI-RT library based on the MPI-RT defacto standard. The standard specifies real-time multiprocessor communications routines that simplify development and provide cross-platform portability of multiprocessor application code. MPI-RT provides a standard for the library of C/C++ subroutine calls used to ensure cross-platform and cross-vendor portability.
SKY Computers has implemented all of the syntax of the MPI-RT standard and provided a facility to layer older MPI standard code on top of MPI-RT. The SKYchannel 44-bit address space gives MPI-RT a large, flat address space.
SKY MPI-RT starts at $7,000 for a development license. A run-time license costs $1,400.

WaveMakers Research Announces WaveMakers Speaker Identification Software
WaveMakers Research has announced WaveMakers Speaker Identification Software. WaveMakers Speaker Identification Software can distinguish between members of a group by voice characteristics, regardless of what is being said and regardless of the language being spoken. Using a single, omnidirectional microphone, WaveMakers Speaker Identification Software can identify speakers at distances of up to 10 feet.

Iguana Logic Debuts RepFile
Iguana Logic has released RepFile, a 32-bit OCX that provides a way to implement basic file manipulation into an application. Features include xcopy, xmove, deltree, find, and others. Emulating a DOS command using RepFile does not simply run the command in a DOS shell, it manipulates the file within Windows.
RepFile supports long file names and wildcards. Distribution is royalty-free. The complete RepFile package costs $149.

Addison Software Releases Reveal v3.0
Addison Software has announced Reveal v3.0, a system debugging product. Reveal v3.0 is used for diagnosing component failures in Windows. Dart Announces PowerTCP Tool for SNMP and Mail
Dart Communications has added an SNMP Tool and a Mail Tool to PowerTCP Tool, its Internet components product line. The SNMP Tool supports SNMP v1 and v2, Agent and Manager drop-in controls, MIB support, and trap support for additional control over protocol features. JK microsystems has released µFlashTCP, a web server and TCP/IP controller. With preinstalled DOS, NE-2000 packet driver, and web-server software, µFlashTCP helps add TCP/IP connectivity to embedded products.

Two PC-compatible serial ports are provided, along with the ability to configure one of the ports as RS-485.
